What a day!

Last night, neither Hubby nor myself could fall asleep, could it be related to something we ate? Me think so. To add to the sleepless state, I had major stomach cramps. Last time I checked the clock it was 4:45am.

We had to be up early today because we had to settle all the papers in regards to my car. We made our way to the Insurance Office where they gave me an envelop with a bunch of forms that I had to bring to the license bureau. We made our way there, took a number and was actually out of there within fifteen minutes, which was quite impressive considering how many people were there. (Side note: some people take their jobs too seriously. While we were waiting, I stood by a wall instead of sitting down in the hundreds of chairs, because my back was sore and my tummy wasn't right either, and Hubby is standing next to me. We are simply waiting our turn. One of the security agent (they had more than four agents, really weird) comes by and told us to move from there. We had to sit or go stand in the back. We made our way to the back. He was an older gentleman, and was quite austere. He was important in his world and it showed. Anyway, that was my side note.).

It cost $8 to transfer ownership of my car to the insurance company and I was reimbursed $42 for my car's registration. Once that transaction was completed, we made our way back to the insurance office to hand in the signed forms and they handed me a check. They actually gave me, with taxes, $6,125.83 which included the $8 I'd covered. It's official now I am car less.

After we were done there, we had to make our way to the West-Island to a dealership who is looking for a car for us, according to the specs we gave them. When we met them on Tuesday they had said they would provide us with a courtesy car if they couldn't find one by the time our insurance stopped covering our rental car. On our way there, all Hell broke loose - the sky opened up and let go of all that pent up humidity we've been suffering... It was raining so hard! Roads were flooded almost. It made our drive interesting, but we made it safe.

Things are falling into place, slowly but surely... let's hope it keeps going this way!

If it was raining that hard maybe you should purchase a boat from your insurance proceeds.

Lots of things for you to take of. Sounds like you are taking it one thing at a time and crossing it off your list.

R t S: ah! I don't do boats!

PPPaws: So far, we're still looking/waiting for the dealer to "show" us something...

TechnoBabe: I have no choice, really.

W C: SPAM is the pitts! If I don't leave "anonymous" open then some people can't comment, and if I do then spammers do, argh!
