I've been blogging for too long I think, or I'm assuming I know my readers and they know me, since I thought everyone who came here was a blend of mine. I couldn't help to smile when I read Lone Grey Squirrel's comment/question: "Is a "blend" a British Friend? Or is
it something more cryptic"
I like the "British Friend", it could very well be and it did apply to my last post, my sender is a British friend who is before anything else a blend. It is nothing cryptic either. It is just a term I've been using since I started making friends on my blog. Whenever I would talk to people on my real life about my blog friends, I started using the term "blends" (a mash up of blog and friends) and it stuck. I'm not the only one who uses that term (I think?!).
By the way, I don't like to write "real life" like that, as if what goes on here isn't real, but I have to differentiate my blog identity and my real identity, since some people still don't know who is behind Stinkypaw. Some of you did become real, and we've shared more than our blogging stories, others have remained somewhat anonymous, but no matter the level of anonymity we are blends.
In the past, for those of you who I thought were courageous enough to admit they were my blends, did receive "The Paw". I did that three years in a row. I will pick that up again this year I think. Here's a link to the last edition of The Paw. Looking at this post, I can't help but feel a little tug at the heartstrings. One of my recipients of that year, Charlie, is no longer with us, and I do miss him dearly. GEM no longer blogs, and neither does Kara. Time does change.
I'm hoping with this new "coming out" to blog again, I will attract some new readers who will also become some blends.
