a few of those apply to us Ontarians too...I remember quite a few Halloween costumes designed to fit over a snowsuit!

For some bizarre reason, the pic wouldnt come up on my comp. Grrr.
All the talk to the snow is doing nothing to dispel my fantasy of it being all log cabins, bears and cocoa in front of a warm fire. When i'm a millionaire, it will be my winter getaway!
Was chuckling at the 75mph/2ft of snow, cuz whenever it snows here, even just a sprinkling, the country grinds to a halt. Maybe you have a special, grippy, non cold type of snow?

pigeon: There is snow here, but we don't live in log cabins, far from it! At least we don't! And the snow isn't anything like when we were kids, that's for sure.
I think that the fact that we do have "lots" of snow yearly we are more accustom to winter driving. Nothing special about the snow, but our tires might be different!

This is why I moved from Cleveland to Orlando. Many of the same things. It gets hot, but it's very nice to still be outside barefoot (avoiding the fire ants) in January)...
I think if I lived in Quebec, I probably wouldn't have moved south, though. It's a very cool city...
