Nothing much

Can you believe that we’re already starting the last week of August? I can’t believe it myself. Where did the summer go? We had a good weekend. We took it easy, had dinner with some friends on Saturday, took it easy as well on Sunday, did the minimum required i.e. a bit of laundry and some errands. It felt good to be home and enjoying each other’s company. I love spending time with my husband.

Today, I started my day with going for a nice massage. I felt like a needed one, so I booked one and made my way there. Ninety minutes of pain, but oh, so worth it. I say pain, because the therapist I’m seeing is very “deep-tissue”. Personally that’s the type I love. I have a husband for caresses, I want those muscles to be shaken up and she did just that! My shoulders feel so relaxed.

At the moment, our home smells delicious. Why you may ask? There’s a bit pot of blueberry-apple butter softly boiling on our stove. Last week, I had bought a little basket of apples, from here, so instead of wasting them I decided to make some “jam” with them. I don’t eat apples too much; their acidity affects my gums. Since I have lots of wild blueberries (that my mother hand picked) frozen, it was the prefect combo. There’s no better smell combination, really, than cinnamon and nutmeg. And with apples… yummy!

Hope your weekend was good as well & your week even better! Tata!

"deep tissue" EEK!!!!! No way Jose! But I'm impressed that you can survive that and still be happy afterwards.

Hell, I don't even like it when people try to rub my shoulders. Of course, most "guys" start digging into my muscles like that are squeezing for orange juice. OUCHIE! It's pretty funny to see me shrink from their touch, rip myself away and scream "NO TOUCHEE, NOOO TOUCHEE!"

Mmmm... I can smell the homemade apple butter even now. YUM!

Oooh, I love deep tissue massage! And the apple butter sounds fantastic, I've never tried anything like it! Any chance of a recipe?
I've been cooking up a storm the last few days. Spring is finally in the air and I had a renewed burst of enthusiasm with all the beautiful fresh vegetables around.

We do have blueberries, but not wild, so they're very expensive! It sounds like absolute luxury to be able to pick yourself a heap.

cinnamon: Dear God, over here they grow like weeds in the woods, of course!
