What a weekend.

It’s really feeling like the Holidays are here. We had a nice dinner on Friday night with relatives of Hubby, a last minute thing that turned out great. I had made a little something sweet “Best-Ever Peanut Butter-Chocolate Molten Cakes”, they were so good, I’m posting the recipe for all of you to enjoy! It only requires a few ingredients and one implement; it’s delicious, easy to make and did I say delicious? What more can you ask for?

Best-Ever Peanut Butter-Chocolate Molten Cakes

4 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup butter
1 cup icing sugar
2 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
6 Tbsp. flour
1/4 cup Smooth Peanut Butter

Heat over to 425°F. Butter 4 custard cups. Place on baking sheet.

Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on High 1 min. or until butter is melted. Stir with whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar; mix well. Blend in whole eggs and egg yolks. Stir in flour.

Pour 1/2 batter evenly into prepared cups. Spoon 1 tablespoon peanut butter into center of batter in each cup. Cover with remaining batter.

Bake 14 min. or until sides are firm but centers are still soft. Let stand for 1 min. Carefully run small knife around edges of cakes to loosen. Invert cakes onto dessert plates. Cut in half to serve.

If you do try this, let me know how you liked it.

We made our way home to find out there was a leak somewhere, so the administration of the condos had decided to shut down the water supply to all units. Saturday morning we were awaken early so that we could fill up whatever you could, since they would be shutting down the water, again, until they would find the source of the leak. Let’s just say we weren’t very happy campers; yet another thing going wrong with the building. We were told, in the evening, they had found the leak and our side of the building was fine. They did a temporary fix and should get to it in January, since it seems plumbers are already off for the Holidays.

Saturday we had dinner plans with friends, for my birthday. We had a very pleasant dinner despite the very slow service, but the company was good. Sunday, it snowed all day, non-stop. Hubby wanted to run some errands, so he did. I stayed home. It really felt like a snow day. We watched some movies, and took it easy.

The next few days will be “active”, for lack of a better word. It should be fun…

Picture this: Christmas is around the corner, and a parent asks the fruit of his loins what said fruit would like for Christmas. Fruit is married, but nothing is said about the other half. Now, would you say that Fruit’s wife is hormonal or overly sensitive, if she was to be, let’s say, a little hurt about this? Tell me, is there a common courtesy rule or something of the sort regarding matters like this? I do want to know what you think.

I'd say that said 'Fruit' had better start his answer with the words 'we would like...'

Is "icing" sugar the same as powdered sugar?

Hey! Moving in on my recipe Mondays are you? These sound great, I might have to make them.

Happy Holidays! All best, BA

Marius: Oh no, Fruit asked for something he wanted...

Monkey: Yes, it is the same.

BA: I would never do that! It just happened this way, honest! They were delicious and so easy to make! Try them, you'll see. Even take the recipe for your Mondays, please!

So how do you find a water leak if the water is turned off?

And perhaps parent should have asked Fruit, sarcastically, "Would your beloved spouse like anything for Christmas, or is she banished to the basement for the holidays?"

It appears you've found the Christmas spirt, SP.

I think Fruit's wife is right to feel a little hurt about it. I would be happy to do away with the gifts part of the holidays (except for children) because there's always so much potential for bad feelings.

Those cakes do sound good. I wonder if cream cheese would work in place of peanut butter. I may have to try both.

I wouldn't blame Fruit's wife a bit for feeling hurt. Of course I'm at that hormonal not so rational part of the month so I might not be the best judge. (Although I've had someone tell me that it is only at this time of the month that I actually stick up for myself and speak my mind, so maybe I'm actually more rational now. I don't know.)

Possibly they already have an idea of what to get Fruit's wife, so didn't have to ask?
Or not.
That recipe looks delicious, will have to try it.

Thanks for the recipe! I'd rather you just sent me some! ;)

Happy belated birthday!! Hope the year ahead is filled with all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness you can handle and all the riches to make you feel extremely wealthy!!

I don't go camping because I love running water....Glad you're able to LIVE again!!

I'm not sure about what Fruit should do. I'm socially inept!

Happy holiday hugs!!

Charlie: You're funny! It was a makor leak, so even off it could be found. I knew I would find my Christmas spirit in due time...

Flurrious: I agree about the gift part as well, it's always a tough one. As for the cakes, cream cheese? Really? If you do try that combo, let me know. I was thinking maybe Nutella...

Trueself: Welcome back stranger! Whichever state you're in, that made sense.

Cinnamon: That would be a nice option, but I doubt that very much. You'll see those cakes are really good!

TraceyT: If you send me your address I must surprise you one day! ;-)
