Time for change...

Since we're starting a new year, and mostly because I needed a change, you'll notice that I've made some little changes to this space. Since I'm no geekette, despite what Hubby often tells me, I went with something easy. I changed what I easily could do. Just like when I go to the hairdresser; changing colour is the best way to change something quickly, easily and pain free! Just the way I like it!

I’ve been thinking about changing my template for a while, and this is not really what I wanted, but it will have to do for now. I’ve wanted something lighter and airier, so this is a good start.

I can not believe it’s already time to get back into the grind. I’m experiencing some ‘post-Holidays downs’, like I do every year. I’ve already taken down all decorations and it barely shows Christmas was here at all, except for a pile of books next to my chair in the living room and some left over chocolates on the coffee table. I don’t know about you, but I often feel, after it all, things should be put away rapidly, so that we can welcome spring (hey, one can hope!) and get through winter quickly. I hate seeing Christmas lights lit after the Holidays, no matter how much I love the way it all looks. Each thing has a place and time.

I hope this post will find you in good health and ready to face the challenges 2009 has in store for us. I’m sure of one thing, it will be yet another interesting year. 2008 was crappy for many things, and being truthful to itself it even ended that way for us. Both Hubby and myself were sick during our two weeks off. We both got colds and mine turned into bronchitis. I saw a quack on Friday and have been taking antibiotics, which seems to be working. If that’s the worst of it, I’ll be glad. I hate wasting time off like this, but at least it wasn’t billable time, as Hubby kept repeating.

Despite it all, we still managed to see some relatives, to over eat and to sleep in so it wasn’t all that bad! That's what the Holidays are for no?

I'm so ready to dive head-first back into normalcy, whatever that may mean. I hope you're feeling better soon, and I like the new look. :-)

I like the new template a lot. I want to change mine, but the ones that come with Wordpress are mostly ugly and buggy.

Do you know we still have not celebrated Christmas? We were snowed in over the actual holiday, so we're probably going to do the family thing this weekend. I wasn't that excited about Christmas this year anyway; to drag it out into the new year is a little like torture.

Like the new look. I still need to take my decorations down...maybe tomorrow! Happy Sunday to you.

Went to a quack for your cold, huh? I thought all the quacks were down here.

And I agree with the others--I like the new look: it's clean and easy to read.

We have some knuckleheaded neighbors who leave (and light) their Christmas decos until March or so. There should be a law that people like that are to be put to sleep . . .

I like your new layout but I loved your blue one. I don't know how long it had been blue since I just met you in the middle of last year.
I have one bloggy friend who changes her blog layout colors to suit her mood and it's almost a different color every time I visit so, she likes change A LOT more than I do!! LOL!! :)

I've changed mine more times than I can count and I've been blogging for less than a year!!

I'm hoping that 2009 will be better for all of us. I'm tired of sucky times!!

Hugs!!

Marius: I hear you! The drugs started to work, thanks.

flurrious: Thank you, it's been hard to choose from since I wanted it simple. I feel for you not being done with the Holidays... urgh. Torture indeed.

noble pig: Thank you madame.

Charlie: Quacks are everywhere! Glad you like the new look. It would drive me mad to have neighbours like that.

Monkey: Thank you, and yes I'm getting back into it.

TraceyT: I had the previous one for almost two years, so I was really due for a change. I had change a few things here and there, but it was getting too "noisy" for my liking. Change is good.

I love the new look!

And I'm totally with you on the Christmas lights. Every year I see lights and decorations still out at the beginning of SPRING!!!!! Yikes.
