And we’re back!

Only one week away, and yet it feels like ages. I guess that is a sign of a good vacation, right? It was.

Despite my apprehension it went very well, travelling with my mother turned out all right and this even if we all slept in one room.

We did some sight seeing, shopped, gambled a little, attended two great shows and did manage to relax by the pool as well. It was a short week, which went by really fast, but when Saturday came around I was ready for some quiet time, alone, with my husband, at home.

The fact that my mother doesn’t speak English at all kind of restricted us a little. She couldn’t really be left alone, but by the end of the week she would make her way to the pool by herself in the morning, which was a welcome “time alone” for FB Hubby and myself. Even if it was only a few minutes, they were welcome.

During our time in Vegas we went to see “Jersey Boys” – oh what a show! If you have a chance to see them, go, you won’t regret it. I loved it, and since then I’ve been humming a few of their songs. I had no idea, prior to seeing it, that Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were behind so many songs, even some disco hits. That started our week well.

The heat was something different all together, especially since when we left here, it was cold (70°). To be in 100°+ heat was a whole new feeling, but I have to say, I really enjoyed this dry heat, unlike the crap we have here. The humidity is really bad in Montreal, and having experience both type of heat back to back, all I have to say about our heat, is ugh!

I would have loved to meet up with GEM, but with the time restriction and all, we only spoke on the phone. It was nice to hear her voice and maybe, some day soon, we will meet face to face. I’d love to meet my blends; it would be such a treat! But for now emails, phone calls and parcels are the way to go…

It is time for me to get back on track and try to catch up with you folks, that and work… aaargh.

Loved hearing your voice! It will have to do for now but when you are in the States again, you must call and let me know where you are! I would love to meet you and give you a real hug! Thanks for the parcel! It was a bright spot in a really tough week!

Thanks again and hugs!!
