I've asked my mother to come to town today because tonight I'll be taking her out to see "Les Misérables" at La Place des Arts. It's her birthday today. She's sixty-eight years young. Looking at her lately, I'd say she's aging well.
As she's coming off the bus, she looks like a proud old lady with her well placed white hair. I can see time is doing its number on her, and yet... She told me in her heart she feels younger than she looks. It's always the body which doesn't follow.
After the show, we'll make our way backstage and go visit one of the cast member (paying Maître Thénardier) who is her cousin. She doesn't know this. It should be fun!
