What a productive day it’s been.

This morning the osteo clinic waked me up; they had a cancellation and could see me within the next half-hour, rather than in two weeks. I jumped in the shower, got dressed and made my way there. It wasn’t my regular osteopath, since he’s on vacation, but the lady I saw did help me lots, so it was worth it.

Yesterday I did call the garage where my car had been brought to, and was informed the damages were estimated at $7,300. Yep, that much…

While I was being treated, Hubby was called by the sinister expert and was told my car was totalled as far as they were concerned since the damages exceeded the value of the car. It was a Honda Civic 2002. We should hear more about that later on this week. Tomorrow is Canada Day and a lot of places will be closed because of that. I was hoping the car would be repaired, because buying a new car just now would not be the best for our finances. Plus we’re going away in twenty-three days, for two weeks. The timing of this whole mess really sucks.

After much mental deliberation, I’ve decided to file a complaint against the quack that “treated” me last week at the emergency room. I filled out a form to request an inquiry and explained why I thought that doctor was a quack. I’m sure it won’t amount to much, but at least I know that I’ve expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction about this doctor and his bedside manners (or lack thereof).

Things seem to be moving along: I’m feeling looser, which is a very good thing. I’ve got a lot of work done and I’m feeling much better than I did at this time last week, that’s for sure. It’s a strange sensation to think how quickly things can change; in a split second your life can take a new path, when I think of that I have goose bumps – live is short and so fragile, might as well enjoy it.

I feel like I am recovering from an accident every day. Unfortunately the only thing that hit me was old age.

Well that sucks about the car, but I think you're doing the right thing about the doctor. Happy Canaday! :-)

Glad to hear you're feeling better, but, yes, the car thing sucks. I hope you at least have today off for the holiday. A day off in the middle of the week always cheers me up.

will the person who hit you's car insurance cover the value of your car? I am sorry things are not going well- but soon you will be lying on a sandy beach with a fruity drink- just keep imagining it....

I am so glad you filed a complaint about that doctor! Good for you! If nothing comes of it at least you did your part, and that's all you can do. Hopefully, something will come of it, though, because he was a complete jerk.

Marius: Thank you.

flurrious: I prefer long weekends to a day mid-week. But then again, any day off is a good thing!

Monkey: I've been imagining it so much, you have no idea! thanks.

WC: He was. Actually, probably still is!
