Stinky update is what I’m giving you…

Sorry for going MIA, but life has been getting in the way of my blogging lately. Since we last read, I’ve been seeing the osteo (for a sore neck and lower back, go figure!), which does seem to help. I’ve been busy with work trying to squeeze all my clients in before we go away on vacation. I can’t believe it’s almost time to go, only four more days before we take off. I started counting we were at one hundred sixteen; it seemed so far ahead and yet here we are.

Weather in Montreal has been hot and humid. We’re having a great summer. We’ve had a few good storms, which are a good thing except when caught in one walking to a theatre! It’s Festival Season in town, so we went to see “The Relationship Gala” at the “Just for Laughs Festival” hosted by Brad Garrett – what a night. We laughed a lot and loved Tom Papa. Saturday we went to see “Tap Dogs” which was also worth seeing.

We still haven’t found a car; hopefully we will before we leave.

I had requested a copy of the accident report. Last week I received a letter from the Police’s Archive stating they weren’t able to comply because there was an investigation. I should try to ask again in three months. Weird. I think it’s strange but what do I know?

It seems like my letter has made it to the quack and that the local Medical Board will have a look into my complaint. I’m not expecting much out of it, but at least I voiced my frustration.

In other news, our moronic neighbour who often forgets to close the common garage door (ah! the joys of condo life!) did it again today. That’s not the worst part. Across the street from our place there is a bunch of kids (early teens) who are little hoodlums in the making. Since we’ve moved here we’ve had issues with them: they threw a rock in our front window, they turn our hose on and let it run, they come play in the driveway, etc. We tried the nice way, the “this is private property go home”, the “get the fuck out of here you little runts” approaches and nothing seems to really work. We even called the cops (after the rock incident) and we were told “they have nothing to lose so try not to provoke them”. Let’s just say we were/are not happy campers about the idea of being held hostage in our home by kids. Their latest thing was to break the motion detector set up in front of our garage door. They broke both lights and actually ripped everything off the ceiling. This afternoon, we’re enjoying a nice bocconchini-tomato salad on our deck when we hear kids playing in the garage entrance. Hubby goes out to see who it was, when he sees a neighbour giving shit to the kids. Has he’s making his way to our garage he sees that our moron of a neighbour, with whom we share a garage (which gives direct access to our place) has left the garage door open. Hubby was livid. Morons, everywhere!!

Can’t wait to be there…

Have you tried to contact the kids' parents?

I'd go Donda one further - how about contacting the kids parents and tell them for everything their kids break of yours, you will in turn break something of theirs!

Or, just buy them cigarettes. Then they will be dependent on you... like puppies.

I hate the thought that kids can get away with whatever they want - I would so have to drag them down a small alley!! ;0)

I'm not sure where your pic is from but it looks gorgeous!

Gah! Hope the little shits don't burn the place down while you're gone!

Isn't this the same neighbor that caused the flood? Can the condo association step in? Maybe fines or something will spur him into reasonable behavior?

Oh no, this sounds like too much annoyance. Is there something in the condo association that would fine the neighbor for not closing the garage door? And also the teens for damage to your property?

Donda: Parents? What parents? Plus we don't know where they live.

Robert: These people have nothing to lose - it's a coop across the street from us (which we didn't know about when we bought here). Cigarettes don't do it anymore I'm pretty sure...

ED: Welcome to my blog! I would love a few minutes with these kids, trust me!

That pict. is from the Big Island of Hawai'i

ATM: I know, and I hope my moron neighbour don't help them either!

Monkey: Yes, the same douchebag! We did ask the Syndic but there's "no proof" he did leave it open - my words against his.

TB: We're too nice here (Canada) we don't sue we don't complain (much) and we protect the morons!
