Can you believe it will be Christmas in a week from now? I sure can't!

I think it's funny that a courageous soul left me a comment inviting me to their blog which is all about God... Should I think there's a message under it all?  Does my soul need saving? Hmm...

While making spaghetti sauce yesterday, I was mixing everything while it was simmering, it bubbled up and splashed my right thumb - ouch!  I put it under cold water and later applied some egg whites (it does help, funny enough, but it looks terrible as it dries.  Actually it looks like when you spread glue in your palm and let it dry, ever done that?  It's so much fun to peel!), at the moment I have a nice burn thumb.

Tuesday I was feeling "eurk" when I wrote my post about Charlie.  That night I went to my meditation class and talked with a member who's been losing a lot of weight.  She's an older lady, in her 70s, full of life and always joking.  I asked her what her secret was for losing her weight, since I was somewhat envious of her.  She was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer.  She's been unable to eat anything for a while now.  This year for our gift exchange she gave me three beautiful Christmas balls.  When I saw them I got all emotional for some strange reason.  Now that I know it will likely be her last Christmas it touches me even more.  She remembered from one of our chats that I enjoyed Christmas...  Next year, when I'll put up my Christmas tree, those balls will have an even more special meaning to them.  I almost regret not having put up my tree this year...

Remember our dumbass neighbour with whom we share a garage?  We had an episode with him last week, since he reached Hubby's threshold.  It's friggin' cold here, and this twit left the garage opened, not once but three times in the same week.  Before Hubby ripped him a new one, I sent him an email where I wrote that he should be more careful and to close the damn door.  He didn't like that.  He answered me stating he was 100% sure he had closed the door.  The next morning another neighbour came by to let us know the garage door was open.  Hubby decided to write him.  Unlike me, Hubby has this skill to tell you off in such a way that one might be inclined to thank him even after.  This time, he didn't use his skill that much, I guess he was a little too pissed off, but still, it was better than anything I could have write.  A few days went by when one morning neighbour rang our door to let me know, we also left the door opened.  I was shocked, since I had heard Hubby leaving and closing the door.  We actually never leave before we see the door completely closed (yes, we're that anal!) .  To add to it all, I had no remote (since one is attached to the visor in the car and the other is on Hubby's key chain, and he was about 40km away) except for the one in the garage.  Neighbour was all pissy, telling me: "This is not cool!"  Since he's also a client of mine, our professional exchanges were a bit chilly this past week.  Comes Thursday morning, as we're packing the car to go to our respective clients, neighbour's father in law, came to the garage and apologized to Hubby.  He was the one playing with the remote, and hadn't realised that it was actually doing something to the door open.  Ah!

...and these are the people who do choose to reproduce, go figure!

My family is celebrating Christmas today, assuming everyone remembers we're doing it a week early. We're trying to beat the holiday gift returns rush.

I love your new profile picture. His face is saying he really wants to open presents RIGHT NOW.

Unfortunately stupid doesn't always hurt as much as it should.
