One can only hope

A few weeks ago we hit temperature as if we were mid-July.  Last week we were below seasonal temperature - it's been for lack of a better word, a bit crazy on this side of the screen.  We can't rely on the weather network to predict squat  - they don't know much more than we do, so I've been looking out before going anywhere and bringing a sweater and umbrella just in case.

I hate it when it rains.  Except while I'm sleeping.  Then, rain is great.  This is what our streets have looked like the past few days...

it's wet and cold... eurk!

One of Hubby's cousin is getting married the first week of June, in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) - we're going. It should be an interesting week away.  No matter what, I'm hoping for sun.  I need to recharge my battery and it will be sooooo good to not have to get up for work, to have nothing to think about other than which bathing suit to wear, or where to lounge, eat or drink... I can't wait.  Until then I will have a packed week, I have to make sure all my clients are in order because for the first time in a very long time, we will not bring our laptops so I won't be checking emails and this despite me having a smart phone since I didn't set it up to fetch my mail.  I'm old school when it comes to my emails, I want them here, at my desk.  It's bad enough that people can reach me anywhere and at anytime, emails I've restricted to pc only.  Since the resort where we'll be staying doesn't have accessibility everywhere, we've decided not to activate roaming on our phones either - it will be nice to really be unreachable...

This is supposedly what is awaiting us...

Somehow it seems a little more appealing than our local scene...

'Tis a blissful thought, to be completely unreachable. When I was much younger I would occasionally go to the mall without telling anyone so I could be alone in a crowd of people. I miss those days. Enjoy your recharge, my blend. :-)
