Let it snow, let it snow...

It's strange how not posting for a few days and already I feel like it's been ages... it must be because it is right after the NaBloPoMo thing, or something...

This weekend I put up our Christmas Tree... since I had been "told" not before December. I was good I waited until the First! Last year I hadn't made one because of how I felt post op and all, and I must say, it looks puuurdy, don't you think? I just luuuuuv this time of year, and even if Hubby was playing disco and old songs from the 80's and 90's will I was decorating it, it did feel like Christmas, but that was nothing compare to today!

All day today it snowed. A LOT! I've lost my car. I parked it on our street and now it's just a big snow pile. Good thing I wasn't going anywhere today. I guess I'll have to be shovelling tomorrow, or I'll give another go at our metro system! I just went out to take that picture and I just love how quiet everything is! Despite the work(out) this will represent tomorrow, I'm just giddy with excitement!
Now it feels and looks like Christmas is coming! Yay!

And, since you've been dying to see it, here's our completed kitchen! That's after dinner last night, so don't mind the mess too much! It changed the whole look of it and I'm happy it is finally done!

That's it for now, I have Christmas cards to send... lots of them, so must get to it.

How about you, do you send Christmas cards? Do you do it because you like sending cards or is it a chore for you?

It was equally weird not seeing a post from you for a couple of days. I didn't realize what a routine I had gotten into with the NoBlo, both writing and reading.
That's a gorgeous tree, and since I live less than two hours from Orlando I can only but approve of the Disney theme.
And that snow is beautiful. I haven't seen sights like that in 30 years(shudder). Thanks for the memories. :-)

I love sending cards and I love receiving cards. It's the one time of year the personal mail outnumbers the bills and the junk mail! :)

Pretty tree! Pretty kitchen!

That much snow would have me curled up into a fetal position, whimpering. ;)

I love the tree, so pretty! The cabinets look great too, so wonderful that you finally got what you wanted. :-) Ugh, we'd still be digging out next week if we got that much so here. We're supposed to get 1-3 inches tonight and people are already panicking! ;-)

Er, that was supposed to say "that much snow." I can't even blame that one on Monday, can I? *thud*

I like your tree a lot...I love how you have child-like ornaments on there just like I do ;) I swear I can see spongebob! He's on about 4 of my ornaments. The kids love it!

We got a ton of snow here too...lucky for me, I'm pregnant and not allowed to shovel it!

I don't bother with Christmas cards...I think they're mostly a waste of time/money and a general pain in the butt. Maybe I'm just lazy. I only regularly send a couple to friends who live far away.

ooh, and lovely kitchen!

Ahhhhh!! Look at all the snow!!! I'm coming to live in Canada. No no, you can't stop me! Look, I've packed my extra snuggliest jumper already, theres no going back.

I'm glad you've got the kitchen sorted before Xmas, that means you can sit back and enjoy the Xmas vibes without worrying about it.

I like sitting down to write my cards. Feels all festive. Though I may have to resort to shop bought ones this year as the guinea pig ones haven't happened. Theres always next year though!

marius: We are animals of habits, aren't we? I love my Mickey Santa, one day I'll make it pass the entrance at Disney (made it to the door/entrance of the castle) and drove away...

3C: I always get excited when I get the mail this time of year... yet another thing we have in common! ;-)

lizgwiz: Thank you! You made Hubby laugh with your comment ! :-)

ananke: I was out, digging my car out for 2 hours and 15 min!

kim: I think I have a total of 4 balls in there, the rest are all Pooh, Tigger, Sylvester, Garfield, Mickey & Cie and some cats & penguins. People always comment on it since "we don't have a kid"...

pigeon: I wouldn't dare stop you! If ever you want to come this way, you are more than welcome in this house, even if the husband thinks pigeons are rats with wings... ;-)

pink: It's been snowing all day yesterday and today as well, so I would love to "share the joy"... We have good taste lady! ;-)
