What a difference a year makes

On this date a year ago we were leaving our house in the West-Island to come live downtown in a condo. We left behind what I felt was our home and I hoped we would recreate this feeling in our spanking new condo. Even if it’s not all completed (we’re only missing light fixtures and a few pieces of furniture), it does feel like home. This is more than just the place where we live, it is our refuge from the world, and it is also where our cat is.

This is our home, it has changed since we’ve moved, things are feeling like they should, and whenever I see the Clock Tower in the Old Port or the Radio-Canada tower I know I’m heading home.

Looks like a lived-in home doesn't it?

Home is where your cat is. That should be stitched on a pillow. And yes, that's a very comfortable looking, lovely home. Of course, the major question that leaps to mind is did you clean to take those pics, or is that the normal state of affairs? ;-)

I love it! What a nice stylish place you have! I've always loved your kitchen, I think it's the green. That's a really nice shade. I remember when you posted an exterior shot many moons ago. It's come quite a long way! (I love before and afters!)

You have a beautiful home! And I remember everything you had to go through to get it that way. And I just know that you keep the place that clean all the time, right. ;-)

marius: You're right about home being where the cat is. Those pictures were taken upon an impromptu visit, so no I didn't clean up...
Prof of that: Look on that dinning room table, our caps from the Relay were still on (after over 2-3 weeks).

pink: Thanks! The shade of green is "Grassland" by Benjamin Moore, I love it as well.

ananke: Thank you! You're right, it is always fairly like this, and to me that's not "top clean", but it's good enough to have people over without feeling embarassed! ;-)

It looks like you took those pictures out of a magazine and posted them!! You have a very beautiful home!! You must not have small children living with you because I could see the beautiful wood floors!! :) And if you do, they know how to keep the house clean!! :)

I know this is weird, but I love your refrigerator. I've always wanted one with the freezer that pulls out like a drawer at the bottom.

traceytreasure: Thank you! No we don't have kids, only a cat.

noblepig: Thanks!

thethinker: It's not weird, I've wanted one for at least 21 years , ever since I saw a SubZero one, loved the concept and the practicality of it. Now we have one, yay!
