Blueberry pie

Anybody who knows me, even a little, knows that I’m a girlie girl when it comes to jewellery. I change my earrings daily! I don’t get the cheapest one around, and I don’t get the most expensive either. I like fine things!

Last week I went on Etsy and looked around some shops. I saw lots of beautiful stuffs, some really funky and some I just clicked away. I ordered a pair of earrings. I figured I would try ordering something and see how it goes.

This morning when I fetched my mail there was a little package for me. My earrings had arrived. I opened the box and was really pleased with what I saw. I put them on immediately. There was also another box and a note from the artist who made the earrings. She actually sent me an extra piece, a gorgeous pendant, to match the earrings. I was stun. I could not believe it, and still can't. It’s not something I would have ordered myself, thinking it wasn’t my style or something along those lines, but when I saw it and put it on, I was really happy. She made my day!

I was also really touched. This stranger did something nice for no other reason than being nice; talk about that among yourselves! I still can not believe the generosity this person has shown me. It might have been a little gesture on her part, but for me it represented a lot more. When Hubby got home I showed him the earrings, and told him about the note and pendant. He liked them both and simply said “Mph… there’s still good people out there”.

Thank you for doing this. I greatly appreciate it. You’ve touched me with your kindness, and that doesn’t happen often. You really made my day. I deeply thank you.

My wife has had similar experiences with eBay. She belly dances, and is always looking for jinglies and shiny things to festoon herself with, and sometimes when she orders some pretty from eBay the seller includes some other little thing just to say thanks. She always gets a big lift from that.

It's always refreshing to run across a truly generous person. It's nice to know they are still out there....and doing nice things for other generous people. :)

I love doing nice things. It makes me feel good! I'm glad that you were thrilled with your jewelry!
I tried to find the kid that came into the store and offer him some money after he left yesterday because I was with customers when he left. I couldn't find him but I looked for him.
I hope you are happy and well! Hugs!!

That was nice. Plus I bet you'll shop with her again, so it was good marketing, as well!

I LOVE Etsy! I have had many great experiences with sellers on there. I'm glad you had the same. I'm addicted to earrings and necklaces! There's nothing better.

Oh, and don't forget about beads.... :) I am in love with all kinds of beads! Glad you had a great experience and I am absolutely sure it was a treat for her too!

periwinkle: Love beads as well, should have seen me in Greece 4 years ago! Like my friend, a boxer, used to say "It's more pleasant to give than to receive at times!" ;-)
