Clean up Time!

I like my desktop clean. I also like my computer desktop clean. When there are too many things on there I feel overwhelmed, so today I decided to clean my computer desktop. There was a bunch of documents/drafts that I started, but never really posted. So today will be random.

Here goes:

Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. But I can usually shut the bitch up with cookies. (Unknown)

I’ve realised recently, even if I did know it deep down, that my need to be liked was bigger than I thought it was. I’ve been called bitch, cold, hard, etc. I know all that, and I accept it. I also decided that I didn’t really want to change. I know how I truly am. And that is what matters. Yes I do want people to like me, but I’m not willing to compromise my values, my beliefs to get that. It’s weird because I’m not looking for approval. At the same time wanting to be liked is a form of approval.

Monkey’s questions:

Is it hard to write in English since French is your first language? I actually find it easier, since I do think in English. At home we mostly speak English, and I'm also realising that I'm losing my French. I often look for words, and my French grammar is getting to be bad.

How much national support does the party who thinks Quebec should break-off have? What do you think? (I do not know how to spell the party name- and I do not want to embarrass myself) Even if I'm French-Canadian, I've never felt the need to join "Le Parti Québécois" I like being Canadian. It actually saddens me when I hear or read some Québécois talk. Their French is really bad, they can't write properly and they say they want to preserve our heritage. Sad thing really. I have my doubts that we will separate, but if we do, I will move. I don't really believe in all this nationalism even if I"m proud to be French-Canadian.

Your IQ Score is 125, that indicates your intelligence is Gifted Borderline Genius. I didn't say that, that's the result of this test I did here.

Was that random enough? One thing for sure, my desktop is now a lot cleaner! Yay!

Wow! You are driven. When I clean up my desktop all I have to show for it is a full recycle bin. :-)

I thought the thing you wrote about the need to be liked was very profound.

Not sure about that IQ test though. I did it, and I came up with an IQ of 159 - genius! Yet in other tests I haven't managed to hit 140.

Apparently the only thing they measure is how good you are at taking IQ tests.

Ha, I always knew you were a genius! ;-)

marius: Remember, I'm on a daily sugar high! ;-)

cinnamon: I have my moments, and I guess that was one of them...

annake: I don't think so... that test is strange and I'm sure wrong!

I never would have guessed that your favorite color was blue. ;)
Thanks for your visit today. Will you come and clean off my desk? If I do it I won't be able to find anything!!
Sorry that you are missing your Dad.
Big hugs!!

The only way I do good on the IQ test is if I cheat.
Your paragraph about being accepted hit the nail right on the head. I think we all want to be accepted, but for who we truly are. Like you, I won't change for the approval of others, well, if I do, it's not for long.
I liked this random post, it was long & you said a lot, yet it was such an easy read, too. 'Splain that one to me, Lucy.
