Today was a good day!

Despite the crappy weather we’ve been having, rain, rain, rain and some more rain, today felt good! Like I told a man complaining about the weather: at least it’s not snow! Can you believe that Turcot Yard where they dumped a LOT of snow this past winter (Check out this link to give you an idea of the pile of snow that was there) is finally free of snow? I drove by today and saw all the crap left behind, but no snow. Last week there was still some piles here and there… See, rain is good for something other than grass!

All my packages, except one, (because Mr. hasn’t sent me his address yet) have been shipped out. The lady at the post office thought it was an interesting idea to exchange snacks like that. I think so too! I’m happy to see that some of you (two, so far) have received your parcel and are enjoying the Canadian goodies.

Last night I had my first taste of “Milk Duds” – tasty little buggers!

As I was leaving home this morning, I saw something “interesting”, a real boneheaded move! I was waiting at the intersection of our street and a one-way boulevard. Our street is two ways. This blue mini-van pulled up behind me, I was waiting to turn left onto the boulevard. Then I saw the mini-van moved next to me (because he wasn’t behind me anymore). I was thinking he was going straight on our street. WRONG! He decided to turn right on the boulevard, facing traffic that was coming fairly fast, despite the red light. The sound of brakes and honking I’ve heard while I turned made me jumped in my seat. I wonder what the heck he was thinking… or didn’t?

On my way back home, instead of being stuck in traffic I drove by Hubbby's office, so I gave him a call and picked him up for a lunch-date! It had been a while since we went out for lunch, during the week, just the two of us. We went to Momesso and had their spicy pizza sausage. That was delicious! Even better than that since I got to have lunch with my favorite husband and enjoyed a nice cappucino to cap it off.

Tonight, Hubby and I walked to see the Fireworks Finale. What a show! There was a lot of people as well. Beautiful colours and nice effects, it was worth a finale for an International Competition! What a nice way to end it all! Yep, today was a good day...

Sounds so lovely. And I'm glad you were able to dodge that crazy driver. Yikes!

Gosh darn it.. I was hoping you were going to say you had a "nooner" or something. hee..hee... hee.. but I guess spicy sausage pizza will just have to do.

Sounds like a LOVELY time (minus the crazy blue van driver of course) :)

I can't believe you still had piles of snow there near the end of summer!
What's even wierder for me is that no one else thought that was strange enough to comment on.

cinnamon: LOL I thought the exact same thing, especially if you did follow the link that shows the pile of black snow.
