There goes a man...

I've first seen him in "The Outsiders", in one of my English classes, in high school. Then there was "Dirty Dancing", "Road House", "Ghost", "Point Break", "To Wong Foo, Thanks..." and last year "The Beast" (TV show).

In those twenty plus years, I truly enjoyed this man. It wasn't about his looks, even if they didn't hurt. I liked him, I loved the way he moved and last year in "The Beast", even if you could see he was sick, it was nice to see him acting again. Plus, he seemed like a loving man and was with his wife for over 30 years, that is something in Hollywood (and anywhere else for that matter!)

He represented, on screen, what I like in a man: power and grace with a little bit of crazy.

Patrick Swayze

May he rest in peace...

That's a great picture you've dug up there. He was my first celebrity crush. Such grace...

Someone I knew died of pancreatic cancer not long ago, it was so fast and so terrible. Swayze hung on much longer than most. I'm sad to see him go and yet I know he would have been in enormous pain so I'm glad his suffering is over.

Nicely sad! It was a very sad day, I am happy he is no longer suffering, and hoping his wife can find peace.

So sad. I feel like a huge part of my childhood has died off this year. :(

Very sad. He was an excellent actor and from what I've heard, an even better man.
