lol! I recently saw a Canadian friend who's been living in the U.S. for years and was talking about getting his family together to visit his mom in Canada for Thanksgiving.
I just looked at him and said, "Um...didn't you already celebrate Thanksgiving?" lol! I guess you had to be there. :-)
Kara will remember the Thanksgiving where I decided to BBQ our turkey. Knowing it would be in the cooker for a while my brother and law and I got immersed in some video games. When my wife reminded me to check the turkey, I lifted the lid on the BBQ and found the turkey completely engulfed in flames.
Fortunately my wife had a "backup" turkey in the conventional oven. I was going to throw out my "blacked" turkey but we pealed the useful meat from it... it wasn't all that bad.
When we took Kara back to college, she excitedly ran down the hall of her dorm announcing that her dad had set the turkey on fire.

Odd, Kara never complains about my BBQ pork ribs.
Periwinkle: Well, thank you!
Michele: Good!
morethan: huh?
GEM: Good luck with that!
Barb: I guess your friends adapted well.
