My bad!

In May I had met with a potential client. We had a good meeting and she had said they would call me back. They did not. I didn’t either, because I’m at a place in my life where I’m not looking for more clients. If they come, good, but I’m not actively searching for new business.

Last week I received a phone call. She had made up her mind, and was ready for me. Ok then! What’s a few months in between?! No big deal. Today was supposed to be all about installation and chart creation. Or so I thought. Wrong! What should have been a simple task turned into this complicated adventure, because the lady who should be aware of the details is somewhat confused… So… after a full day there, I have to go back tomorrow! My only consolation, I charge by the hour! Hee.

Oh how I wish I had one of those handy!

Consulting and "charging by the hour"...keep repeating this over and over and before you know it, you'll have nice big fat cheque to deposit AFTER you tell your client what to do !!! Could it get any simpler ??? ;-)

Hey, isn't 5 months the polite waiting period for hiring someone? LOL! I can't believe she actually waited that long to call you and she still doen't know what she wants. Charging by the hour is the best revenge. ;-)

I'd like a set of those, but I'm sure as a teacher that would get me fired. There are many who administrate and dictate things, place blame, etc. that need one. Oh for a day that you could speak the truth to people.

mousse: At some point today I did repeat it to myself! And it wasn't simple!

atm: You and me both my dear! ;-)

ananke: Her confusion is beyond words! And I'm wondering if it's really worth it... She's REALLY lost!

wreckless: Too bad teachers couldn't wear something like that, maybe it would wake up some... I sort of do speak my mind, more that the truth (at least it's true to me!);-)

oh, the joys: Welcome to my blog! There are some good side to be self-employed! :-) Hope to see you here again, soon!
